Alicia / La vida es sueño

The Hispanic Alliance “Act 1, Act Tú” bilingual theatre program, in partnership with Chestnut Street Playhouse, is proud to present a double feature production of “Alicia” by Elaine Romero and “Life is a Dream” by Pedro Calderon de la Barca!

“Alicia” is a is a special show that focuses on the themes of identity and embracing the wonder of the world. As Alicia explores Wonderland, she encounters many strange residents and learns with each interaction that believing in impossible things (such as being more than one person) is not as strange as it once was. “Life is a Dream” is a classical Spanish drama about the fictional Prince Segismundo grappling with fate, love, and free will. This double-feature production came to Norwich on August 11 and August 12, 2023!

“Act 1, Act Tú” is dedicated to creating unique, rewarding, and fulfilling theatre experiences that are accessible regardless of English language proficiency.
